“I have been doing homeless street outreach in Washington DC for over three years. I am very passionate about meeting people where they’re at and ultimately getting folks into housing. I’m currently finishing my Masters in Social Work at the University of Maryland. I just got back to DC after a semester in India where I took classes and completed two internships both focused on outreach and housing. I’m really looking forward to being at Charlie’s Place. I have had a relationship with Charlie’s Place for a few years now and I have always been so inspired by its unique community.
The community at Charlie’s Place is so supportive, creative, and passionate and I can’t wait to be part of the team!”
Molly starts January 4th, and we are so delighted to welcome her!
Other transitions at Charlie’s Place:
Christina Jenkins, our talented Charlie’s Place chef, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Christina shared her gifts in many ways, working closely with our wonderful volunteers, and forging new partnerships to receive more food of higher quality for our clients. We are grateful for her service and wish her the very best!
Barbara Wille, who has served in the development office since 2014, is retiring at the end of the year. “It has been an honor to be part of the Charlie’s Place family, to serve with my wonderful colleagues, to work closely with Kym Lucas and the Church, and with the incredible members of the Dupont Circle community. Thank you for this opportunity, and keep fighting for social justice!!”
