Town Hall on Homelessness

Published by charliesplacedc on

Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2B has announced that the commission will hold a town hall to discuss the issue of homelessness. Charlie’s Place will be one of the organizations at the event and we’d love to see you there! The town hall will be a one-stop shop to provide residents with facts they may not know, an understanding of the legal rights of the homeless, and valuable information on what residents can do to help the homeless and assist local service providers.

The town hall will take place on Tuesday, February 6th at 7:00 pm at the Keegan Theater, 1742 Church Street NW. There will be an open house with representatives from several other service providers who serve the homeless  at 7:00 pm and the town hall will begin at 7:30 pm.

During the town hall, service providers and other community organizations will provide an overview of the current unhoused population, respond to questions from the audience, and provide resources to help address this issue in concrete and tangible ways.

Community members are asked to submit their top three questions for the experts here.

We look forward to your attendance at the town hall!
